[130] Bane: Backstab and New Skills
Sat Nov 24 13:00:03 2012
To: all
Greetings,
I have some bad and some good news.
First the bad: all classes except Mercenary (and Thief) have lost
their backstab skill. This follows a decision made long ago in
the last THM.
Then the good news: those classes have now received new skills
to ease their loss of backstab. Below is a list of the new ones.
You will have to gain your new skill at your guildmaster for
a nominal number of trains. The skills have been adopted into
the default groups for the corresponding classes.
Gladiator - Rush
-----------------------------------------------------
Syntax: rush <target>
Without a target, the gladiator uses his rage to rush
across the room slamming down anything in its path.
When a target is specified, the gladiator will focus
his rage. The impact will significantly damage anyone
it touches.
The gladiator will have to be berserking before being
able to rush. Rush has a chance to stun the people it
hits similar to bash.
Lich - Necrotic Strike
-----------------------------------------------------
Syntax: necroticstrike <target>
Sneaking up on their target, Liches are able to place
several feeding hits on the victim, causing signifiant
damage as well as a moderate amount of extra health for
the lich.
Those hit by a necrotic strike may lose their eyesight
for a moment as a result of the bloodloss. Rubbing of
the eyes may return sight.
The lack of sneak will seriously reduce the chance of
landing a Necrotic Strike.
Strider - Bearstomp
------------------------------------------------------
Syntax: bearstomp <target>
The strider can now call upon their bear to initiate
combat. The bear will attack the target and stop it
towards its master. The strider may then answer with
a significant blow to the stomach of the victim.
As one would expect, the strider would need a bear
companion to carry out this attack.
The skills have been extensively tested but may be tweaked
if the need would arise.
Enjoy!
